๐ Synopsis
Like a speck of dandelion dust riding the tides of a prairie wind, life is fleeting. Though I never realized just how fragile it was until that day . . .
Charity always had a dream. It was simple, really. Find a guy, fall in love, and get married.
The day she met Ryder, Charity knew he was the man God had chosen for her. But she never expected their relationship to be tested and tried through the fires of a freak accident. Suddenly, her world is thrown into chaos, and the bleak, white walls and sterile smells of a city hospital fill every spare minute. And then there comes the dreaded news. It was likely Ryder would never make it out of the hospital bed. As her carefully laid plans for the future come crashing down around her and the sun seems to set on her dreams, can Charity still find hope in the dark of night?

This was a unique romance novella! Besides the medical details (which weren't too bad and didn't bother me personally), I greatly appreciated how squeaky clean it was, especially for it being classified as romance! Charity and Ryder's relationship was very sweet and cute, particularly towards the end, and there was lots of faith content which I enjoyed.
I do think it could have benefited from another round of professional editing, because there were a couple typos and somewhat frequent formatting errors, but thankfully it didn't pull me out of the story too much. Also, I wish there would have been more buildup to the climax of the accident- more "setting the stage" in a way- and more fleshing out of the characters, because I never really strongly connected to the main characters for some reason. However, it is a short book so I understand that that would have been hard to work in.
Overall, this wasn't bad at all. Though I was disappointed I didn't get as emotionally invested in it as I had expected, that totally could have just been me. By the end I liked it a lot and would recommend it to teen girls looking for a very sweet Christian young adult romance. ๐
⚠️ Content
No language, no kisses, just light attraction between a boyfriend and girlfriend, a car accident resulting in chronic injuries and near death, and medical details (only up to semi-descriptive, nothing too graphic).
